Heavy bombing between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah continues. On Monday morning, Israel carried out air strikes in residential areas of Lebanon's capital Beirut. A missile targeted a multi-storey residential building in the Kola area. At least 4 people died in this, while many people were injured. Along with this, the IDF has claimed to have killed Hamas' Lebanon Chief Fateh Sharif. Along with this, a soldier of the Lebanon Army also died.
The IDF said that Fateh Sherif, the head of the Lebanon branch of the terrorist organization Hamas, was killed in a precise air force attack. He used to coordinate Hamas' terrorist activities in Lebanon with Hezbollah fighters as well as look after recruitment and arms supply. Sherif was a recognized member of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. He was the head of its teachers' union in Lebanon.
On the other hand, according to local media, this is the first time in the conflict of almost a year that Israel has attacked residential areas of central Beirut. Regarding the continuous attacks from Israel, Lebanon's acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that he has no other option except diplomatic options to stop Israel. He said in a statement, "We will not hesitate for a moment to consider the role of diplomacy. We have no other option than diplomatic options. We are working fast in this direction."
Along with this, the Prime Minister of Lebanon said that due to the continuous air strikes by Israel, more than 1 million people have been displaced across the country. And this is the biggest displacement so far. The Lebanese Health Ministry has informed that more than 50 people lost their lives in the Israeli air strikes on Sunday. Most of the lives were lost in the city of Sidon, where two buildings were targeted.
On the other hand, after attacking Hezbollah bases in Lebanon, Israel now targeted Houthi rebels in Yemen. Israeli fighter jets attacked ports and power plants used for oil imports in Yemen. The Israeli army claims that the ports and infrastructure that have been attacked were being used to bring and take Iranian weapons.
These attacks were carried out in Ras Issa and Hodeidah areas of Yemen. At least 4 people are reported to have been killed and many injured in this. According to news agency Reuters, this attack is believed to be in response to the attack carried out on Sunday by Yemen's Houthi rebels. They fired missiles at Tel Aviv, after which sirens started ringing throughout central Israel, including Tel Aviv's international airport.
